Build a compact, high-performance subwoofer without having to piece together the components yourself. This kit combines our CSS SDX12 12" XBL² subwoofer driver with a 1000-watt plate amplifier and a properly sized sealed enclosure to deliver deep, clean bass with excellent transient response and very high output capability.

In its natural sealed alignment, the SDX12 reaches an F3 of approximately 41 Hz. While that may not look exceptionally deep on paper, the SDX12 has the excursion capability and motor strength to take advantage of electronic equalization. Using the amplifier's built-in parametric EQ (PEQ), the system can be extended significantly deeper while maintaining the benefits of a compact sealed enclosure.

For a target response extending to approximately 21 Hz F3, set the PEQ to:

• Frequency: 24 Hz
• Gain: +6 dB
• Q: 1.0

With these settings, the sealed SDX12 transforms into a genuinely full-range subwoofer capable of reaching into the lowest octave of music and movie content, while retaining the controlled, well-damped character that makes sealed subwoofers so appealing.

The included 1000-watt plate amplifier provides plenty of power for the SDX12 and gives you the flexibility to fine-tune the subwoofer to your room and system using its onboard DSP and PEQ controls.
